Rüdiger Lohlker, « Fanon and Mbembe »
Achille Mbembe is a leading international philosopher, well known for his writing on African and international philosophy. Of his concepts are
Necropolitics and his Politics of enmity (recently translated into German as Politik der Feindschaft). In Politics of enmity he refers to the eminent postcolonial thinker Frantz Fanon, esp. his psychological writings. Reading both authors together we will be able to understand epistemological tools needed in the contemporary situation. Mbembe’s thoughts are indispensable for postcolonial thought.
